OMAHA, Neb. — Children’s Nebraska has named Matthew B. Boyd, MBA, CAP, as senior vice president and executive director of Children’s Foundation. Boyd will begin his role April 13.
As a member of Children's executive leadership team, Boyd will lead philanthropic strategy, donor engagement and foundation operations in alignment with Children’s mission, growth priorities, clinical excellence, innovation agenda and long-term financial sustainability.
“Matt is a transformational philanthropic and growth leader with a proven track record of driving change, inspiring generosity and leading high-performing teams,” said Chanda Chacón, president and CEO of Children’s Nebraska. “He brings bold ideas and a deep commitment to translating donor values into lasting impact for the children and families we serve.”
Boyd joins Children’s from Bridges Trust in Omaha, where he served as vice president of philanthropic services, advising individuals, families and family foundations on strategic philanthropy.
Previously, Boyd spent 17 years with the University of Nebraska Foundation as assistant vice president of development. He led development teams for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus and managed fundraising efforts for system and campus priorities, including the $84 million Hawks Hall, the $25 million Teacher Scholars Academy and the $39 million Clifton Strengths Institute.
Boyd serves on the board of directors for the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands, the advisory board for DAFGiving360 and the Leadership Nebraska – Nebraska State Chamber Alumni Advisory Board. He has been a mentor with Teammates Mentoring since 2016 and volunteers in additional community roles.
"Children’s Nebraska cared for each of our three children during their earliest days, making its mission deeply personal to me,” said Boyd. “By strengthening relationships and aligning around a shared purpose, we will continue to grow the resources that advance exceptional care and expand access for every child who needs us. I am honored to partner with Children's extraordinary team and our community to drive meaningful impact for children and families across our region.”
