Children’s Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is a tele-mentoring model which works to improve capacity by linking expert specialist teams with community participants from a variety of professional backgrounds through teleECHO™ clinics. Project ECHO allows for the sharing of knowledge via didactic lecture in real time utilizing technology, clinical management tools and case-based learning.
All health care professionals and community partners throughout Nebraska are welcome and highly encouraged to participate in teleECHO™ clinics, including: physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, mental health practitioners, physical therapists, social workers and other related staff in primary care and hospital settings.
Children’s Hospital & Medical Center is accredited by the Nebraska Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Children’s Hospital & Medical Center designates each live activity for a maximum of one (1.00) AMA PRA Category/CreditTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Children’s Project ECHO launched in 2017 in collaboration with numerous partners and has offered a variety of learning series around the topics of childhood obesity, mental and behavioral health, and others.
