In-office clinic hours vary by location. For details, contact your preferred Children’s Physicians office or check availability through Children’s Connect.

Why Your Family Needs the Flu Vaccine This Year

Cold and flu season brings extra risk for children and families. The flu vaccine is the best way to protect your child and loved ones—and it’s especially important for anyone who spends time around young children, like grandparents, teachers and caregivers.

Flu viruses change each year, so the vaccine is updated annually. That’s why your child and family need a new flu shot every year. Children receiving the flu vaccine for the first time may need two doses.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends flu vaccination for:

  • All children 6 months and older

  • Parents and guardians

  • Breastfeeding mothers

  • Other caregivers and family members
