Mohanad Shukry, MD

I have tremendous passion for pediatric patients safety and well being. I’ve been practicing pediatric anesthesiology and pediatric cardiac anesthesiology for almost two decades, and I am as excited about it today, or maybe even more, than when I started my career. My role in the operating room is to ensure your child is safely asleep, and that all vital signs are within the normal parameters. I’ll be with your child during the whole surgery. Anesthesiologists are always on the look out to prevent any complications while they ensure the surgeon has perfect conditions to operate as efficiently as possible. We always have a plan to prevent and treat pain and other anesthetic complications such as nausea or vomiting. We’re thinking about these kids as if they’re our own.

 

The anesthesia team at Children’s have a great range of clinical and professional experiences, and we like it that way since it benefits our current and future patients. Not only do we have great, compassionate clinical care, but we also train future pediatric anesthesiologists, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and transport nurses. We also participate in acute and chronic pain management, research, and advocacy. I’m proud to be a part of this team.
