About James D. Vargo, MD
Dr. Vargo received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., and a Craniofacial & Pediatric Plastic Surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan-Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, Mich. He is an assistant professor of Surgery at UNMC College of Medicine.
Dr. Vargo’s clinical interests include treating the full spectrum of pediatric plastic surgery reconstructive needs in children and young adults, including, but not limited to, cleft lip and palate, craniofacial anomalies, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, facial trauma reconstruction, rhinoplasty and ear anomalies.

My son had an injury that required an overnight stay then surgery the next morning and Dr Vargo and his team were Amazing. They took the time to explain everything and listened to questions we had. On the follow-up appt I was so impressed that he had remembered my son's interests and asked him about them.
