Lois J. Starr, MD, PhD

Lois J. Starr, MD, PhD is the Chief of Genetics and serves as the Program Director for the ACGME accredited Medical Genetics Residency/Fellowship through UNMC. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Clinical Genetics, and Clinical Cytogenetics and Genomics. Dr Starr is a Professor of Pediatrics through the College of Medicine.

Dr. Starr is interested in rare genetic disorders in general and is involved with education of medical students, residents and learners from a variety of programs. She provides expertise to specialty clinics including craniofacial/craniosynostosis and cardiovascular genetics. In addition to the locations below, she offers telehealth appointments and has a medical license in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Wyoming, Illinois and South Dakota.
