Kelsey T. Jennings, OD

Dr. Kelsey Jennings is an optometrist on the Children's Nebraska ophthalmology team. Dr. Jennings grew up in central Illinois and completed her undergraduate education at Northern Illinois University, where she received her bachelor of science degree in biological sciences and Full University Honors. She then went on to attend Illinois College of Optometry and received her doctor of optometry degree in 2021. Dr. Jennings graduated with honors, was a part of the Advanced Clinical Program and was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa.

 

Dr. Jennings enjoys caring for patients of all ages and likes to work closely with other specialists to manage ocular and systemic disease. She also has a particular interest in myopia control and often states that she doesn't want her patients to end up with eyes as myopic as hers. She is dedicated to ensuring that every child is able to see well and learn to the best of their ability. Dr. Jennings is an active member of the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG) and enjoys working closely with optometry students. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Nebraska Optometric Association, and she is a board member for the Nebraska Foundation for Children's Vision.

 

Outside of work, Dr. Jennings enjoys spending time with her husband, Mathew, and their Bernese mountain dog. She also enjoys reading, baking and crafting.
