About Rachel L. McCann, MD
My name is Rachel McCann, and I’m a pediatrician with Children’s Physicians.
I’ve always enjoyed working with children. That’s something I’ve loved ever since I was a child. I always knew that my career would lead me to, in some way, work with kids. I really feel connected to my patients and families.
I think one of the favorite parts of pediatrics for most pediatricians is just watching kids grow up, and really getting to know that family and their story. Seeing families repeatedly over the course of many years really bonds you with them.
I hope that my patients know — and I think they know — that they’re in my mind and my heart, too. As I’m going throughout my life, and not just here in my office with them. they’re with me at home, and I’m thinking of them. We’re here as a resource and a friend, because our goal is really to help parents have happy, healthy kids.

Dr. McCann is absolutely wonderful. She has been my daughter’s pediatrician for years and I have utmost respect for and trust in her. Dr. McCann listens, is very intelligent and caring. I appreciate that she is easy to talk with, nonjudgmental and thorough. Our experiences with the staff at Children’s has always been positive, her nurses are fabulous. Dr. McCann’s nurse Jessica always stand out to me as being very caring and great with my girls. Thank you Dr. McCann and staff.

Dr McCann and her team are wonderful. She’s thorough, kind, patient. She is always personable, makes my kids feel comfortable. I feel like my kids are in excellent care every time we see her! Lavista team is amazing! The nurses are great and always put my child and I at ease!

Dr McCann is the best! She is always respectful and engaging with our daughter who has disabilities including no spoken word. She listens to parent input and is very knowledgeable. We appreciate the fact she looks at our concerns from a variety of angles. We feel very grateful to have her as our daughter’s pediatrician.
