My name is Kristin McGregor, and I’m a pediatrician at Children’s Physicians, Gretna.

 

I absolutely love kids. I was the oldest of four girls growing up. So, from an early age I got to watch my younger sisters grow. I got to teach them and watch them develop, and I’ve just always been interested in and enjoyed working with kids.

 

I’m building a practice, so I see a lot of newborns. I feel very comfortable with the newborn period: issues with breastfeeding, issues with normal newborn development, and sometimes variations of normal [development].

 

I am also really comfortable with behavior issues, from toddler tantrums to ADHD in school-age kids, to depression and anxiety as kids start to get a little bit older. I’m feeling more and more comfortable with these psychological issues, both the medical management and behavior recommendations.

 

Parents can trust me with their children because they can expect me to take care of their children the way I would want someone to take care of my own. I care deeply for each patient. I think about them a lot. If we’re having trouble finding a diagnosis, I’m going to think about it and work on it until we have it figured out.
