About Brandi Ann Reeve-Iverson, MD

My name is Brandi Reeve-Iverson and I’m a pediatrician at Children’s Physicians at the Bellevue location.

I’d been interested in being a pediatrician since I was about 4 years old. I’ve always known I wanted to be a pediatrician and take care of kids.

I love taking care of kids from the time they’re born until they’re teenagers and everywhere in between. I take care of the parents just about as much as I take care of the kids — just not in a physical capacity — more in an emotional capacity. I just love being involved in their lives when they’re sick, when they’re well, and just encompassing the whole family in all of our visits.

I always like to laugh and have fun. My nurses always tease me that they can hear me outside the room because I’m loud and rambunctious. I think going to the doctor should be a fun experience — even when you’re sick — as much as it can be.

I always describe myself in all my meet and greets that I’m a mom first and a doctor second. I have three kids that I take care of at home. And I hope that my patients feel like their kids are an extension of my family. That’s really what I hope and strive for in my practice: I want to treat everybody’s kids like I would want somebody to treat my own kids.

The best advice I have is to not sweat the small stuff. I always tell my new parents, especially, that if I’m not upset about something or if I’m not getting worked up about something, then please don’t get worked up about it. Because if I’m worried about something, I will tell you. So, if you’re worried about something, just tell me so we can work through it. Because if I’m not, then I don’t want you to be either.

I was labeled an anti vaxxer by this doctor because I didn’t want to give my newborn the hepatitis B shot. I wanted to wait and give the shot at 2 months (with the rest of her vaccines). She also told me at my daughters 2 week follow up (she made birthweight) that we needed to do a weight check in a week because she had dropped a couple percentiles. It seemed a little extreme to come back in when my baby looked and acted healthy + made birthweight. Reeve-Iverson is a one size fits all type of doctor so don’t go to her if you don’t fit the “perfect patient” mold.

By far the best doctor and I will forever refer her! My daughter has been seeing Dr reeves since she was 2 months old (shes 12 now) and my son since birth to now 8 years old. She’s the only doctor who listened to me and actually found out my daughter was born with a birth defect that needed surgery. She’s never rushy always listens and has made a relationship with my kids to where they are completely comfortable with her. BEST DOCTOR HANDS DOWN!
