Jillyn A. Kratochvil, MD

My name is Jillyn Kratochvil. I’m a pediatrician at Children’s Physicians, Dundee.

 

I became interested in medicine in grade school. After I went into medicine, when I was a medical student, I really became interested in kids — they’re fun and they tell it like it is. I like pediatric diseases better than adult diseases and there was no question that I enjoyed pediatrics.

 

I would hope that patients would describe me as somebody that they can talk to about anything, that they can be honest with me, and that I will be honest with them. I would always treat them like I would my own family and do what I think is best for them.

 

I see babies from newborns starting at the hospital and following up in the office — all the way to 21 year olds. It’s a lot of fun watching them grow up.

 

The best advice I could give families is to feel very comfortable with their pediatrician — to feel like they are part of their family, that they would always do the best for their child, and that they’re comfortable talking to them about anything.
