My name is Dr. Steve Sindelar. I’m a pediatrician here at Children’s Physicians Bellevue.

Hopefully, my patients would describe me as somebody who is knowledgeable, who treats them with respect, treats their family with respect, listens to them.

I’m at the point in my career where I have what you’d call a mature practice. I’ve been around quite a period of time — about 20 years — so I’ve had a wide range of little kids all the way up to the adolescent age group. I see about anything.

I do enjoy taking care of the ADHD patients and helping out with all aspects of their life — whether it’s school or social situations or whatever it may be.

The best thing is, don’t be afraid to contact your pediatrician if you have questions. Parents are pretty perceptive about what’s going on with their kids. They don’t know exactly what’s going on, but they know there’s something wrong — particularly with small babies — and I think it’s important for them to be able to contact us whenever they feel there’s a problem. They’re not bothering us, of course — that’s why we’re here. That’s the best advice I can give.
