Elkhorn South Dance Marathon

Elkhorn South students will be holding their inaugural Dance Marathon fundraiser for Children’s Hospital & Medical Center on May 6, 2023. Funds raised support the patients and families served by Children’s.

UNL Dance Marathon

We are deeply grateful to the students of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln for their outstanding support during their annual Dance Marathon on March 03, 2024. This year, they raised an impressive $83,702.24 for our cause.

The event saw over 583 enthusiastic students participating in the western-themed festivities, which included a mechanical bull and line dance lessons that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you, UNL students, for your incredible generosity and spirited participation. Your efforts make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

NICU

Benefiting Children’s Nebraska’s NICU

As the only Level IV NICU in Nebraska, Children’s offers the most advanced level of neonatal care available to children from across the state. With 52 rooms, a surgical suite and two dedicated twin rooms, Children’s can treat nearly every condition that a newborn baby may have, thanks to an experienced, specially trained team of medical professionals.

Proceeds from this year’s Gala will go toward the completion of additional shelled space in the NICU, along with resources for NICU families.

Honorary Family – The Oxleys

Catherine Mildred Oxley “Kate” was born December 20,2022 at just 24 weeks + four days gestation after premature rupture of membranes two weeks prior on December 6, 2022. She weighed 1 lb 9.8 oz and was 13 inches long. She spent the first ten months of her life in the hospital, and while she still requires a ventilator and PT, Kate is now thriving at her home with her mom, Emily, dad, Eric, and four siblings.

Extra Life Game Day

Extra Life is an annual 24-hour gaming marathon that unites players around the world in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, locally benefiting Children’s Nebraska.

Proceeds from Extra Life will help fund interactive gaming units for each floor of the Hubbard Center for Children.

Westside High School Dance Marathon

We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Westside High School for their incredible support through the third annual Warriorthon event. This year, the Warriors raised a school record-breaking $55,141 for Children’s Nebraska’s Oncology program.

Their dedication was evident through various fundraising activities, including coin drives at middle and elementary schools and community-wide donations throughout the semester. The space-themed Dance Marathon event was a highlight, featuring a Just Dance competition with our patients, a cake walk, and a live student band.

UNO Dance Marathon

Thank You for Making OMAThon 2024 a Stellar Success!

On April 6, 2024, the University of Nebraska at Omaha hosted a space-themed OMAThon Dance Marathon, raising an incredible $63,788.66 for Children’s Nebraska’s Radiology program. Nearly 500 Maverick students participated in fun activities like an egg drop contest, slime making, and a special plaque presentation for patients with stars named in their honor.
